Do you
know there's a danger signal when ironing?
It's seeing the mesh pattern of your ironing board appearing on your
clothes.
What does it mean?
That your underlay isn't doing its job.
It's not giving you a firm, resilient surface to iron on. And it's
not insulating your metal board from your hot iron. You need to
replace it. But with what?
The most common type of underlay is
foam, but it doesn't last very long, does it? Why not? It's thin and
porous. Heat from your iron disintegrates it quickly, forming a
bumpy ironing surface that feels like Swiss cheese.
With an underlay made of felt, you have a more
durable ironing surface. Felt
is wool and cotton fibres compressed into a dense mat. It gives you
a smooth and resilient surface for ironing. But as with everything,
not all felt is equally good. Most felt is thin, lightweight and
pre-cut, so it doesn't fit your board as it should.
Again, bucking the trend by offering quality, we've
found a supplier who makes felt to superior standards that will
please you. How is it better and different?
1
At just under 1cm (3/8") thick and weighing in at 400gms (14.25oz)
you get about 40% more value.
2
A large 46cm x 137cm (18" x 54") rectangle. Trim to cover both the
top and sides of your board. It stops your cover wearing out around
the rim.
3
With your Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover, it's the perfect
ironing surface. The cover contours the thick felt to your board
shape and holds it in place, for smoother, quicker ironing.
4
Because it's dense and compressed, it stays thick and resilient for
a long time.
So why not make the switch? At
$17.30+p&h, it's so firm, you'll notice the
difference as soon as you use it.
