Life Behind The Scenes With The Ironing Diva "center">
The Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover And Other Goodies is the hook I hang my business hat on. This accidental, rural business, is a dream come true. One of the highlights of my life. This is my journey through the roller coaster world of business. And the choices I make in how to run my dream of a lifetime.

Business Is A Tough Gig. What’s Your Sense Of Urgency?
John Lee Dumas is an Iraq war veteran in the USA. Who lead a platoon of 16 soldiers. Four of which. In his words. “Gave the ultimate sacrifice”.
These are his words about the experience.
“Over my 13 month tour of duty, I saluted each coffin of those four heroes, and four times I committed that I would HONOR their sacrifice.
I would honor their sacrifice by NOT living a life below my potential.
I would honor their sacrifice by NOT slogging to a job I hated to spend 80% of my waking hours.
I would honor their sacrifice by GIVING VALUE to this world, not ‘JUST GETTING BY’.
This is our one life.
The choice is yours.
Why not choose a life of passion, fun, excitement?”
Indeed!
For most of us, life is not lived on the edge.
And for most of us. There is no sense of urgency about our life.
We live it day to day.
That is both good.
And not so good.
As on online marketer, I live much of my life online. And voraciously read articles. Blogs. Social media pages. Online digital newspapers.
Offline I read many magazines and books.
And have many conversations with customers. And just people in the street.
There is a groundswell of people who are not matching their lives with their dreams.
And for many, their dreams have died.
Because they have no sense of urgency about their lives.
When me and my partner, Victor Pleshev, the architect who designed the Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover for his mother, lost everything in Paul Keating’s 1992 ‘recession we had to have’. Our home. Businesses. Cars. Personal possessions.
Read Our Story. How We Built A Worldwide Business From Broke.
We were handed a sense of urgency on a silver platter.
Reinvent ourselves.
Or be destined to a life of working for others.
Or worse.
Be destined to live a life of poverty. On the dole.
We picked ourselves up. Running. And haven’t stopped running since.
Our 25 years of having risen from the ashes of that life changing experience hasn’t left our psyche. It’s as if it only happened yesterday.
There is still the fear of. What if this all goes pear shape?
I don’t think we’ll ever be complacent about establishing our new business, The Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover And Other Goodies. On the back of Victor designing the Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover for his mother, Margarita.
This sense of urgency motivates us to do things. To take action, as they say. To never take what we have for granted. And to keep pressing forward.
I’m at the age where I hate ringing my friends and asking them how they are. Because so many have life threatening illnesses.
And regrets.
About the things they didn’t do.
Don’t wait for a life changing experience to give you a sense of urgency.
Whatever you want to do. Do it now.
