Ironing 101 Tips. A Sturdy Ironing Board. How To Choose The Best One.
Ironing Board Facts. Facts. Facts.
An ironing board is exactly like the foundation of your home. It supports the weight of the rest of the house.
Your ironing board needs to be strong enough to take the weight of your pressure on your iron.
Without rocking back and forth.
The mesh needs to be a solid, heavy metal.
You don’t want it to cave in when you’re leaning on it. Or putting pressure on your iron.
And the legs need to easily slide up and down.
So the mechanism that controls this has to be easy to access.
Easy to release.
And easy to lock the legs in place.
Ironing 101 Tips. Ironing Board Recommendations.
With ironing boards, you definitely get what you pay for.
A $20 board at The Cheap Shop is unsafe. Believe me. Within weeks of purchase, that mesh will cave in while you’re ironing. And you’ll probably burn yourself with the iron because of it.
Ironing board makers have gone the way of ironing board cover makers. Cheap is what everyone wants. They say.
No. It’s. Not!
Cheap is UNSAFE!
I only recommend Brabantia Ironing Boards.
If you don’t know them, they’re based in The Netherlands. They used to make their boards there. But now they make them in China. I hate ‘Made In China’. But these boards are made to the same specifications as they were made in The Netherlands.
And.
They come with a 10 year guarantee.
No other standard ironing board maker gives that long a guarantee.
