Pam has been an online customer since 2009.
She was referred to me by Holy Sheets. When she went in there asking for a good ironing board cover. Because the owner of the shop ironed on a Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover. She told her about us.
Until today, I’ve never spoken to Pam. Everything I know about her is from comments she leaves on her online order form.
Today is her 14th order.
And she rings for a special reason. She wants her parcel sent to a different address. But doesn’t want me to change her current address on my database.
We start a conversation.
I discover that Pam orders for friends. And family. On a regular basis.

Pam lives on the north shore of Sydney. And has lived there for 20 years.
Prior to this, she and her husband have never lived anywhere for longer than 4 years.
They’re both retired.
She loves it.
He’s bored.
Because he’s so good at what he did in business, he gets offers every few months to work for others.
He recently decided that boredom wasn’t for him. And he’s taking up these offers.
Pam thinks it’s wonderful. He loves to work. And she loves to spend his money.
It’s a win-win for both of them.
She loves where they live.
It’s a hop. Skip. And jump. Into Sydney.
They live more in a village atmosphere than a suburb.
Fabulous restaurants. Which they frequent on a regular basis.
Wonderful food shopping.
As well as brilliant retail shops that cater for everything.
She says she pinches herself often at how lucky she is.
I love these ‘slice of life’ conversations. Which I never have other than via the telephone.
