I’m often asked about living and working from my beautiful remote rural property. In the picturesque Central Tablelands Of NSW.
My 54 hectare property is a lot of work.
But I consider it to be my own personal gym.
After sitting at a computer all day running my beloved niche business, The Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover And Other Goodies, it’s a welcome tonic to easily be outside doing physical work.
I walk the property every morning at sunrise. With my camera. And post a photo to my social media pages, including Instagram. Of what I see.
I have a diverse variety of wildlife. Including more than 110 species of birds that fly in. And fly out. Every year.
And although the property never changes. It, of course, changes every tick of the clock.
Especially at sunrise.
The sun’s first burst as it creeps up over the hills and peeks above the horizon is always memorable.
And as it rises in the sky, it creates beautiful shadows across my hills.
This stunning light show is all over in an hour.
In the afternoon, I get to watch the dramatic sunsets from my office window.
And when it’s dark, I often stand outside and just look up at the stars. Which I rarely ever saw when I was a big city gal. New York City. Washington DC. Sydney Australia.
I do pinch myself that I’m one of those very lucky people who can say . . . I’m living my dream.
I always wanted to live on a big country property.
And now I’m fortunate enough to have what I always dreamed of.
