Your iron does talk to you.
It’s kind of like dogs. And cats.
Rather than words. It uses body language in the form of signals. And sounds. That tell you what’s happening in the life of your iron.
For instance.
Is your steam iron spitting?
Or maybe it’s leaking a tad bit?
If this is an intermittent occurrence. It’s normal.
Just as with all heating and cooling controls. The temperature goes up and down. To maintain control. Much like the radiator in your car. And the air conditioner in your home.
To maintain perfect temperature control, your iron will cool down somewhere in the ironing cycle.
When this happens, your iron spits. Or could leak.
This is when it’s talking to you.
It’s telling you the soleplate isn’t hot enough right then to create steam.
Believe me, this is temporary.
You’ll notice that it will quickly heat up again. And stop spitting at you. And stop leaking.
I’m here to help you. What else do you want to know about ironing? Email me at the bottom of this post.
